Thank you, Herb! I am thrilled to have this compliment coming from you (as poet and writer)! I will have to think about where to have this piece published. And, I will never forget how the villagers reacted to the news of the Pope’s death when I was 16! I have the image and the sound of wailing right before me!

I know! We were just there in September! I have to say, I was thrilled that he chose the name Pope Francis I!!! I know it was intentional to select the papal name of a saint who spoke for the needy, the animals, and the environment.

This blog entry is sort of dreamy, and not very realistic, I know! But it is my way to try to express the changes I would love to see a world spiritual leader help put into place. I realize that, though in a powerful position, it would be so very difficult for any ONE person to bring about such changes. However, even one small change would be a grand one!
