Thanks for sharing your day journey with mom in Merrillville and Crown Point. What is it about all us Italians having tears in our eyes when reading this blog. Anyhow I haven’t had the exact kind of reconnection with Grandma and grandpa but do feel close to them when my christmas plant blooms like it did last week and figs appeared on my fig tree that I started from a little root that I planted last summer. Gardening seems to be one of the places that I feel most connected and I wish summers lasted longer in Indiana. Gotta go miss you all.

I really would of had a hard time going in there knowing I would not of been able to sit down with them.
