Thanks, Vester, for sharing your experience. So glad you found a combo of yoga and water for your practice. And I can't wait to get back to teaching at SAC. It will be wonderful to see you and hear more about your experience during this pandemic year. Namaste, Fram

Wow! You covered a lot relative to the problem that I was once very familiar with. As you are aware of my journey for resolve after years of experiencing the worsening of the structural condition of the bone's that connect as knees. I tried many things over the years that helped me up to the point where bone on bone would lead me to a surgical solution and knee replacement. I am so grateful that I am on the other side of it now and enjoying the rewards of freedom of movement without the pain. We are mindful as Yogis and do our best to take care of ourselves in the realms of the physical, emotional and spiritual in order to limit suffering and a painful existance. This is an individual choice that we all have to make. I have friends that are my age with similar background that have the exact or worse condition but they have chosen to live and die with it. For me the remedy required some sacrifice and a fearless resolve, but for me it was well worth it. I no longer need my knees to play at a high level of sports which would require lots of running or jumping, as my new knees won't serve such a function adequately to my accustomed standards. My intuitive instincts speaks to that as fact. I am emencely grateful that I can now do my asana poses and simply walking without having pain in the background as it once was all the way up until the procedure. No need to shqre more as you are well aware my condition during that time as your humble yoga student. As my yoga teacher you allowed me to share my journey with you over the years and still do.. I'm sure that you've reminded Rick already that I've been there and done that, and have now arrived on the otherside. BTW, I am realizing the benefits of a asana practice while in the pool. During the lockdown restrctions at the Club I am now back to 4 days per week Water arobics + asana in the pool. This contributed in helping me to get back into balance after last years 5 month closure that was so close to post surgery and recovery. OUCH!! Can't wait to see and share with you in one of your fabulous classes. Give Rick my best and to know that he's absolutely in the solution. Thanks for sharing as aways.
Oh my gosh, I remember when you were suffering from knee pain, but I had no idea you tried so many different therapies! It's probably not nice, but I was laughing my head off for most of this post! The fleas! The rearranged organs! The co-ed nude massage! Thank goodness the pain finally went away!
