Thank you for your thought provoking reply. If Korea had the power to nip this in the bud then why can't we? It seems some people are not taking this isolation idea seriously. I look out the window and see people walking in big groups in the park. Perspective does help a lot. Self Isolate - Social Distancing is the answer. Namaste, Fran

Fran - This strange and scary time reminds me of Sarejevo, when in April 1992 the city was besieged and in 30 days life changed, dangerous to go out in the streets because of snipers, no water except from fire hydrants, electricity one hour a day if lucky, food in short supply and very expensive, the average person lost 25#. A new and very arduous reality. The only solace was solidarity and sharing a coffee with friends in your apartments. Until the coffee ran out. Even for someone like me who could get in and out on U.N. flights, it was mind twisting. And it was more than three years before the siege was lifted. Relatively speaking, we are very fortunate.

During the 1918 - 1919 Spanish flu epidemic, 3% of the world's population died, medical care was much more primitive. No tests, no ventilators. But when the calendar turned to 2020, there was no more flu. Many people didn't get it, most of those who did recovered ad developed immunity. This one will proceed and end the same way. But this time round we can minimize transmission and deaths by keeping our distance until tests and time show us the way out.

Perspective helps me a lot. I hope it does everyone.

Thank you for your always uplifting posts. You are a treasure.

We are doing very well, thanks. We're in Cabo San Lucas at our home on the side of a rocky mountain, looking over the turquoise blue Pacific Ocean and enjoying each other and the quite. It is VERY quite... kinda surreal... but overall kinda nice.
Hugs, Jeanne
