One of my favourite areas is North Beach. If you want to take in not only a wonderful view of the bay, but also a walk down history lane, go to Coit Tower with it’s amazing fresco murals. Eat pizza at Golden Boy Pizza or indulge in some pastries from the Italian bakery Stella’s on Columbus. Even in the middle of touristy Fisherman’s Warf you can find some treasures. Stop by The Buena Vista, the birth place of the famous Irish coffee and have one for me!
