50-Hour Restorative Yoga Teacher Training with Fran Gallo & Dionne Durán
May 2026 — A deep dive into the art of rest for yoga teachers
This 50-hour Restorative Yoga Teacher Training is designed exclusively for yoga teachers who wish to deepen their own practice and learn how to skillfully teach restorative yoga.
Restorative yoga asks for something very different than most other styles of yoga. It is not about doing more, but about allowing. Not about achieving, but about supporting. In this training, you will explore both sides of that: your own direct experience of deep rest, and the ability to guide others into it.
This training is a unique, one-time offering.
Fran and Dionne bring together years of experience, study, and teaching, creating a rare opportunity to learn from them together in person. Their combined perspectives and teaching styles offer a rich, layered learning experience that will not be repeated in this form.
What to Expect
This training blends theory, practice, and experiential learning. You will both deepen your personal restorative practice and develop the skills to teach with clarity, confidence, and sensitivity.
We will explore:
- The foundations and principles of restorative yoga
- The nervous system and the relaxation response
- Breath and its role in regulation and release
- The intelligent and creative use of props
- Key restorative postures and their variations
- Sequencing and class design
- The art of holding space and guiding rest
- Voice, language, and presence as a teacher
- Contraindications and safety
Each day includes a balance of lecture, discussion, and practice. You will both receive and give sessions, allowing the material to be integrated on a deeper level.
Practice with Diverse Bodies
Towards the end of the training, we will invite guest students, giving you the opportunity to practice teaching in a real-life setting. You will work with a wide range of bodies, needs, and lived experiences, helping you refine your skills, adapt your approach, and build confidence as a restorative yoga teacher.
