Rick and I now live in the southwest corner of the Olympic Peninsula in Washington.  We went up to Sequim, Washington, also on the Olympic Peninsula, and I think it really dawned on me today how vast, diverse, and beautiful this peninsula is!  Our friends, Tom and Ursula, rent a beautiful old farmhouse in Sequim, WA for about a month every year.  Herds of elk come to eat their share of the corn planted in the fields near the house.  The house is located on a acres and acres of land and is within walking distance to a lovely beach.  We enjoyed walking on the property and on the beach.  We enjoyed our time with Tom and Ursula so very much!

I took the photo above on the first evening of our arrival.  The light was bright and magical.  The red of the old barn (recently re-sided!), which used to house dairy cows some 100 years ago,  struck me with such awe.  I am really pleased at how I was able to capture that precious moment in time with my Leica.
