A deep fog has settled over the city these past few days.  The fog only adds to the beauty of these glorious autumn days.  Today, Leslie and I knew that once we got to the Pratt Lake trail and started ascending, we’d quickly be above the fog.  That is exactly what happened.  And it was unusually warm for this time of year. Here are a few photos from the picturesque trail leading us to Pratt Lake Basin in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area:

And earlier this week, on Wednesday, I spent the day with Simone, as both our husbands were returning from trekking in Nepal that evening.  Earlier that day, Simone and I went to Discovery Park and we enjoyed walking with her dog, Annie.  It was yet another glorious and foggy autumn day.

Back at Simone's: Tommy (seriously, I didn't not mess with this photo at all! His eyes are that green!.)

Back at Simone’s: Fluffy-Shy-Ace Hunter Tommy (I didn’t not mess with this photo at all! His eyes are that green and somehow I captured a very eerie effect!.)

Lunch Break: Lovely ladies we met at Discovery Park. They call themselves The Wednesday Walkers and have been hiking as a group (same group!) for 50 years. Wow.
