Last Thursday, Rick and I took a Seattle city hike. We used to do this more often before we had our place out at the coast. This time we both took our cameras and had fun walking around town. We probably did around 8 miles of city walking. The best part about doing these city hikes is that I get to be a tourist in my own city! Taking out my camera to capture images allows me to really take note of places and things I see almost every day.
It was the most beautiful September day. We started our hike in Fremont and walked over to Ballard. From dowtown Ballard and old Ballard, we went to Ballard Locks, the botanical garden, and on to the Shilshole Marina. We then hopped on a bus and went downtown to the market. From there we walked over to the Olympic Sculpture Park in Belltown. I hope to do another city hike again soon because there are so many areas that we didn’t get to.
I put together a slide show of the photos I took from our city hike. Enjoy!
