Today is Day 14 of 21 Days to Kalm. Our theme for the day is Balanced.
Here is your 14-minute guided meditation for today. We start with Simhasana, Lion Pose! In the video, you can see that I am a little shy about doing Lion Pose. I guess I am inhibited or have a fear of looking silly on film. But I assure you, Lion Pose is really great. It’s cathartic and helps you release bottled up stress and anxiety. Please note that until this very moment, I thought there was a “b” in Simhasana, as in Simba the protagonist of The Lion King, but there is no “b” in the Sanskrit word for Lion Pose: Simhasana.
After Lion Pose, I’ll guide you in a meditation. You may sit or lie down for this guided meditation. If lying down, you may enjoy having a bolster or rolled blanket under your knees.
I encourage you to share this blog post with your friends. Anyone can do this simple meditation and benefit from it.
Day FOURTEEN: Balanced
Asana: Lion Pose (Simhasana) followed by Shavasana or Seated Meditation (Sukhasana)
Quote: “Waking up this morning, I smile. Twenty-four brand new hours are before me. I vow to live fully in each moment and to look at all beings with eyes of compassion.” -Thich Nhat Hanh
