One of the worst things that can happen when blogging is to have your blog post disappear into thin air when you go to publish it!   Remedy:  Take a deep breath in and try again, this time fewer words and more photos because it might happen again.

We went on a small adventure yesterday, a short trip to the town next door, San Francisco, also lovingly known as San Pancho.  All these years we have been coming to Sayulita and this was the first time we ventured out to San Pancho.  San Pancho is a very quiet sleepy town with wide clean streets and level wide sidewalks that are swept clean of debris.  There is one main street that leads down to the beach.  This street has a cultural and educational center for children called Entre Amigos, a few restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops.  There is even a bar that hosts weekly poetry readings where people actually sit and listen to each other read called Panchitas!

We walked to the beach. I noticed there was not a soul in the water because the waves are super wild.  It’s a beautiful beach to walk along.  At some point, I was feeling very dehydrated so we stopped by a small beach-side cafe where we each bought a large coconut.  After it was whacked open, we drank the sweet coconut water with straws.

Perhaps the sweetest photos are last…this caged pet monkey was showing signs of depression, so the owners bought her a tiny Chihuahua puppy.  The puppy changed Monkey Mama’s life and she has raised this little girl and loves her dearly.  Whereas it is sad to see animals in captivity when we know Monkey Mama should never been taken from her rainforest, it was incredibly touching to see the love between monkey and dog:
