Funny how I was not surprised when my cousin Lilina told me she is considering getting her yoga certification! I think this love of yoga must run in the family.
After years of being a nurse, my sister Nora decided to get her yoga teaching certification and she has been teaching yoga full time in Valparaiso, Indiana. And she is a masterful teacher! Here is a photo of Nora and me in Umbria, Italy two years ago:
And most recently, my cousin Michael visited and I invited him to do yoga with me. He had never done yoga before, but he could have fooled me! He went into every pose with such ease and grace. Here he is arching over a log at the Sol Duc River in the Olympic Peninsula:
And these yogis start young! My cousin Lilina sent me these two photos of her adorable children doing Tree Pose:
Well, because I so enjoyed having yogi-cousin Michael visit, I thought I would share this short slide show I put together of his time here with us in Washington. Like us, he loves to hike, fish, camp, so that is what we did. Lots of time spent in the wilderness and some time spent in the city (Seattle):

Hi Fran:
This is Peggy Fralinger your parents former next door neighbor. Just today June 2, 2018 I found out that your Aunt Lily died one month after my mother. I spent months sitting at my mom’s side eight hours a day until she died. Neither Doug or I saw Llily’s obituary in the newspaper and maybe because I was still in mourning for mom. I happen to talk to the the lady that lived right across the street from Lily. She was advertising a give away of purple cone-flowers so Doug and I walked over to her house. She happened to mention the lady that lived in the house before her belonged to the Crown Point Garden Club and that rang a bell and I realized I had met that lady through Lily and had been in her house. That is when I was told Lily had died in July of 2016.
I wish I had known and had gone to the funeral. If you could let me know where she has been laid to rest I could visit and say a prayer. May her memory be eternal.
Peggy, I will be in touch with you. -fran
