I have a bonanza of photos to share!  My all time favorite is that of Grandmother (Mamma ‘Nto) and  Grandfather Licata with all their 10 children, including my mom (standing, third from your left) late 1940’s:

And here is dad’s mom, Mamma ‘No (short for Onofria Terrana Brunogallo) with my mom and dad in Liege, Belgium. Early 1950’s.

Going further back in time, I have this precious photo of my dad’s paternal grandmother:  Mamma Luigia Brunogallo.  Dad said she was hardworking and super kind and that her pockets were always filled with candy! Here is Grandpa Gallo with his mother, Mamma Luigia on their family farm. I think I see the candy bulging pocket! (photo late 1930’s):

Mom with baby Nora in 1951:

And mom and dad with my sisters Nora (Onofria) and baby Toni on mom’s lap (Antonietta), the two girls named after their grandmothers (early 1950’s):

Three generations of five sisters on my maternal side

Nonna (Mamma ‘Nto short for Antonia Tirone Licata) with her four sisters harvesting grapes in Sicily.  They all reached their 80’s and 90’s (photo 1950’s):

Grandma Licata with her five daughters (1972):

Mom with her five daughters, my sisters  (the little imp is me, 1971):

And my Godparents, Aunt Lily and Uncle Sam holding me while I scream.   This is my first new year’s party and I HATE it.  “Get that hat off me NOW!” (1962)  Aunt Lily, dad’s little sister,  has always been the most wonderful Godmother a person could wish for:
